The Looking Glass Gallery is having a Logo Design Contest! All eligible ASU students may submit (see information on graduate students below). The contest is open from October 4th - November 30th, 2010. Applications are due no later than November 30th, 2010 by 5pm. The winner of the contest will receive a $150 grand prize, and his/her logo will become the official logo for the Looking Glass Gallery. The gallery itself is named after Looking Glass Falls in Brevard, NC. Thus, the goal of this competition is to give ASU students the opportunity to embrace this honorable namesake and create a memorable logo personifying the gallery's relationship to one of the most treasured landmarks in the NC mountains.

Gallery Namesake:

All rooms in the Plemmons Student Union are named after features of the North Carolina mountains.

The Looking Glass Gallery is named for Looking Glass Falls near Brevard, NC. Looking Glass Falls was chosen as the gallery namesake because it is a place to house beautiful creations, much like the falls itself. Just as one can see their own image in the falls, one can find meaning in the images and works of art displayed in the gallery. Additionally, even when the gallery is closed, one can still see the artwork by looking through the glass.
