Honorable Mentions:

Abby Dent for the piece Roadkill Reminiscence. This poetic piece speaks volumes about Abby’s technical skill and creative intuition,

Jillian Mae Seversky. Lesbians Go To College Too transcends subjective personal experience into an objectively interesting and thought provoking piece.

Half-asleep by Hayden Girling awakes a fresh appreciation for the clay medium

Juliana Maurer for her piece Contra Naturam– a piece that stands out as a relevant take on an ancient art- both bookbinding and queerness.

Kenia Arellano’s Letter Opener enticed our both imagination and senses, sitting gracefully at the intersection of beauty and functionality

Jade Brower’s piece titled Well My Garden Grows Dinosaurs is a playful experience that draws you in, unveiling new layers the longer you sit with it.

PSU Purchase Awards:

Dot Study by Nicholas Rangel Capelle stood out as an embodiment of visual pleasure, a true celebration of color that breathes life into the space it inhabits.

Juliana Maurer’s When I Grow Up I Want To Be a Lesbian is a piece that demonstrates technical prowess and the ability to execute a clear and impressive vision. This will be the first artist book to be added to the Appalachian Artist Collection.

Alli Holst’s Morning Star instantly grabbed our attention, the juxtaposition of textile work and medieval weaponry is as alluring as it is amiable, and the first weapon to be added to the Appalachian Artists Collection

Madi Cole’s Vignette piece is compositionally stunning and technically captivating, creating a calming yet dynamic piece.

Leonardo Rodriguez-Anaya’s silver gelatin print titled Dusty immortalizes a member of the community with respect and grace that the union strives to emulate within its own practices.

Kaitlyn Noelle Taylor’s risograph Bra Burning print is a demonstration of boldness that we are proud to provide a space for on our walls for decades to come.
